How to Properly Fit Your Helmet

We at Bern recognize the importance of Fit when it comes to helmets. We have specifically designed and engineered all of our helmets to fit true to our customers heads. Part of this experience through is making sure you have the correct lid for your head. We produced the video below to help you get the correct Bern Helmet for your head!

The video is good… until the very end. The strap should snap and fit snuggly under your chin (you should only be able to fit ONLY one finger between the strap and your chin), rather than dangling with an inch or two of space. Otherwise the helmet could still be shoved sideways and provide no protection in the case of a crash.

Their sizes are not accurate. I wear a 7-5/8 hat, 23-½” and purchased an XL and it is way too small.

Did you end up getting a XXL? If so, how does it fit? I ask because I’m a 7 1/2 fitted with low cut, and 7 5/8 fitted with hair.

      • ToothpickBird

No. I ended up getting a Giro helmet because their helmets actually fit the way their size chart says they do.

Ahh, ok. Thanks for responding so quickly.
