Bern Releases the Hendrix Jr. and Zeiss Goggle Combo for Winter 2023/2024 Season

Plymouth, Mass.—October 16, 2023—Bern, the Massachusetts-based helmet company known for its street-inspired style and 19+ years of experience designing gear for professional athletes and novices alike, announced the release of the multisport Hendrix Jr. kids helmet and Sawyer Jr. Goggles. Bern will be offering helmet/goggle combos for both kids and adults beginning mid-October. Additionally, all youth and adult winter helmets will come with a summer liner, allowing enthusiasts to get year-round use out of one helmet and eliminate the need to purchase multiple helmets.

The new Hendrix Jr. delivers the same multisport performance as Bern’s cutting-edge Hendrix helmet, released for the 2022/2023 winter season, thanks to its functional air intake vents, rear exhaust ports, and ribbed EPS liner. Additionally, the Hendrix Jr. features Bern’s iconic low-profile visor, Compass Fit system, and a Mips rotational liner, giving it the look, fit, and feel of a custom lid without compromising style, comfort, or protection. The Hendrix Jr. meets the CPSC and European Union safety standards for bike, skate, and snow sports, making it the perfect year-round helmet for kids ages 8 to 12. Full specs on the Hendrix Jr. are below; more information is available by request.

● All season helmet with multisport capabilities

● Compass fit system

● RibTech liner

● Mips® protection

Alongside the release of the Hendrix Jr., Bern is also launching the Sawyer Jr. Goggles. Designed for style and maximum visibility, the new Sawyer Jr. goggles are scratch and fog resistant, offer UV400 protection, and fit seamlessly with Bern’s youth winter helmets. The Sawyer Jr. Goggles enter Bern’s eyewear category alongside the B-1 Goggles, which are compatible with all of Bern’s adult lids. The B-1 Goggles come equipped with two Zeiss Sonar lenses (Silver Mirror Sonar and Infrared Sonar Cloudy) and a quick-change magnet strip to easily swap lenses in changing light conditions.

“Bern was founded to disrupt the helmet market and create truly one-of-a-kind lids to encourage people of all ages to get out there, whether it's skiing, biking, skateboarding, or anything else they have a passion for,” says Bern Founder and CEO Dennis Leedom. “By offering all-season helmets that actually look cool and partnering with companies like Zeiss to provide gear that’s a seamless fit, our team helps you look good and feel good so that you can stay out there doing what you love.”

Bern also recently added to its kids line with the Brentwood Jr., an innovative relaunch of Bern’s crowd favorite Niño 2.0 kids helmet, and the Macon 2.0 Jr., a mini version of Bern’s skate inspired Macon 2.0 adult helmet.

The Hendrix Jr. and Sawyer Jr. Goggle combo will be available for purchase in mid October. Products are available on Bern’s website and at specialty retailers nationwide.
