Ladies ski Halfpipe finals went down friday evening and we are stoked for Roz G who scored the Silver Medal. We are stoked to have Roz a part of the team this year and will be looking out for her on many more podiums in the future, and competing for team Canada in the Sochi Games.

¬†FRANCONIA, NH – The Freeride race series sponsored by Bern Helmets begins on January 11th at Cannon Mountain in New Hampshire’s Franconia Notch State Park. The three-event series has categories for ages 12 and under, age 13+, skiers, snowboarders and ladies.
According to the ski area’s director of marketing and sales, Greg Keeler. “The Bern Freeride series has been one of our most popular events. We start out with the Rail Jam on January 11th, and follow it with the Big Air competition February 1st and the Slopeside Competition March 8th. Anyone who competes in all three events in the series has a chance to be deemed the overall Bern Freeride Series Champion!”Event registration is the day of the race, from 9am to 11am at Guest Services in the Peabody Base Lodge, with ID or credit card needed for bib deposit. Practice runs are from 11:15am to 12:15pm at the event location, followed by a mandatory competitor meeting at 12:15pm, during which the time and location of the awards ceremony will be announced. The competition starts at 12:30pm. Helmets are required. A minimum of three people per category is required or Cannon may combine categories.

Great prizes from helmets to gear from Bern helmets and Cannon Mountain will be awarded to the top three in each category. Event registration is free, but a lift ticket or season pass is required.

“Because of generous support from Bern Helmets, we’re able to offer a top-notch competition like this for free. We think that’s important to help grow the sport and raise awareness about Cannon’s commitment to terrain parks,” continues Keeler. “It’s really a showcase for us as well-and a great spectator event, too!”
